We are glad to announce the second session of the ReFreeDrive webinar series. This session will be devoted to explaining the control algorithms developed for both synchronous reluctance and induction motors, as well as giving some notions about power electronics hardware design and selection.

The webinar will count with the participation of several experts on the field. Prof. Marco Tursini from University of L’Aquila will explain which control strategy and software implementation has been developed for both motor topologies in the project.

Dr. Giuseppe Fabri form University of L’Aquila will give an overview on hardware component selection, particularly on the adoption of SiC modules in EV powertrains with its pros & cons, plus some outlook on our prototype manufacturing of power electronics within the project.

Dr. Fabien Vidal-Naquet from IFP Energies Nouvelles will present the software control workflow, methodology and tools, with an illustration on its use for our ReFreeDrive motors from simulation to test bench.
