Last 29th June the second webinar of the series, titled “Control strategies and electric drive design of induction and synchronous reluctance motors for e-mobility” took place.
After a short introduction to the project for the newcomers, Dr. Giuseppe Fabri from University of L’Aquila presented the SiC-based Power Electronics hardware concept developed within the project using off-the-shelf components. Then Prof. Marco Tursini from University of L’Aquila explained the optimal control strategies and the torque/speed control scheme for both motor technologies, giving also some insights on control software implementation. Finally, Dr. Fabien Vidal-Naquet from IFP Energies Nouvelles presented the control workflow for 75/200 kW Permanent Magnets assisted synchronous reluctance motors, showing how IFPEN toolchain bridges the gap between four working environments (design, control simulation, test bench and data analysis), thus accelerating the subsequent experimental characterization of prototypes.
Right below you can access the recording of the webinar as well as the slides that were presented.
Stay tuned to keep informed about future webinars!
