Last 2nd and 3rd December, our colleague Tomas Jezdinsky from European Copper Institute attended the ZVEI (Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie – German Electric Industry Association) automotive platform annual meeting, along with their e-mobility steering committee meeting, which was held in Munich (Germany).
The event gave us the opportunity to share ReFreeDrive’s approach to rare earth-free electric motor design and manufacturing, discussing our project results so far and outlook with around 80 relevant stakeholders from the German electric industry.
Overall, ReFreeDrive was positively recognized as a new alternative to current Permanent Magnet-based drivetrain solutions. The attendees showed their willingness to see final project results in order to check major industrial features such as cost-benefit data, recyclability and impact on global electric drivetrain system efficiency and performance.
The substantial feedback received will allow us to optimize our business and exploitation plans, taking into account industry concerns and expectations, hence maximizing the project impact after the end of its lifetime.
